Wallsburg YW Retreat Fun

While in Utah for Grandpa's big birthday celebration, we also got to enjoy the annual YW General Board retreat/social in Wallsburg, Utah.  We played, ate great food, met lots of people, and had an overall wonderful time.  Here are some pictures from the day:

Here is dad holding Thomas.  Thomas enjoyed himself as he was passed around and slept on a blanket under the trees.

Like I said, we met lots of people and reconnected with others.  One family we got to see was the Allen family.  They were in our ward back in Durham, NC.  This is Lindsay/Thomas with Caroline.

Here is Kimmi reading a book.  Mark was on Spencer duty.  Sorry about the background.  The best picture of her reading happened to have that lady fixing her towel.

Spencer off exploring and climbing the play set.

Here was the first zip line.  This is the tame one, but one that we got to ride many times.  Alan going down:

The most thrilling part was when you got to the end and it whipped you around:

Mark going down with his unibomber/80's aviator glasses:

Amelia gave it a try.  Thanks Mark for helping her while I photo-documented the event.

Mark liked to have Spencer do everything that Amelia attempted:

Here is the water slide.  It was loads of fun.

The first time I took Amelia down I had her in my lap.  The next time she sat down beside me:

It didn't end the best:

But she didn't end up worse for wear:

This was one of Mark's time's down with Spencer:

It didn't end pretty either:

Second shot of Mark rolling with/over Spencer:

Now for the zoom ins:

Look at that terror in that boys face:

What solves battle wary kids?

Here is the second zip line.  This one ended with a drop into the lake:

Mark's landing:

We had a great lunch and a then an even better dinner.  Amelia liked her fat boy:

The kids participated in some Olympic events.  Here Amelia takes on hurdles:

Spencer's on deck for the discus:

The Dibb family has been blessed as Mom has worked in the YW.  We are greatful for her example and hard work.  This event in Wallsburg was just a perk that we get to enjoy because of her service.

  2. Okay, I just shed tears laughing at Spencer's face. That might be my favorite thing ever!

Also, I really want a water slide like that in my back yard....
